If you know why the first time you’re fooled, you won’t be fooled so easily the next time; as then it’ll be easier for you to understand why you’re being fooled next time you’re being fooled once you understand the process better.
When you can manipulate the manipulators so they don’t know you’re doing it, then you’ll be a “right cunt” indeed, along with the rest of the manipulative “little cunts”.
As a matter of policy be sure to give praise to the blameworthy, and blame to the praiseworthy; anyone else who is just a little confused you can tell to “fuck off!”
Self-esteem, self-help, self-motivation, self-reliance and self-fulfilment, all produce selfishness, which is a necessity for living well in a selfish environment.
Familiarity in social circles encourages contempt, and the more familiar you are the more contemptible you can become.
Sometimes, when you’re pushed you don’t want to know, which at times is often a good way to look at it, and at other times it isn’t.
No one farts at dinner parties in High Society simply because that, from a very early age, they’re told in deportment lessons where exactly to put the champagne cork.
There are those who constantly seek for the mysteries of life in their own minds, and then there are those who constantly go down the local pub for a good booze-up instead.
Some people can take only so much truth; so don’t go giving it all up to those sorts of people just because they’re asking for it.
Most people are not that pleasant, and that’s all right, as not many are; they can all go and die some place else, and sooner or later they usually do.
For everyone who is “asking for it,” did he really ask for it all that much, or are you?
All fools must think, on comparison, that they’re smarter than the other fools that have gone before them, but can they prove it?
If someone asks you why you do as you do, then your reasons are all your own.
Sometimes, you may have just gotten the wrong end of the stick: the appreciation of this fact is of paramount importance.
Why let someone else tell you what to do with yourself when you can tell yourself much better than that?

The mind, in a medium of events, should be like a clear mountain stream flowing swiftly over jagged rocks. If it’s not then you should call the plumber.
That person that you engage in conversation who is prepared to be genuinely friendly may, in his eagerness to be friendly, sometimes forget that one of the best (or most subtle) ways for you of gaining information from him is to comment on what he tells you; until, eventually, he finds that he has told you everything you wanted to know and needed to know without asking him one single direct question.
Holding a casual conversation is like riding a bicycle on a blustery day: somebody with excellent balance has always got to be on top of the situation.
You can always try telling someone who asks you how you feel how you really feel; but isn’t that really just being unnecessarily impolite to someone being polite enough not to care too much about you anyway?
Sometimes, you’ve just got to get up and say: “I’m young, I’m handsome, I’m fast, and I can’t possibly be beat.” But I wouldn’t wait too long to do it if I were you.
To be expelled from a group for “nonconformity” is a neat way of getting rid of you, one explainable to you best by acknowledging in yourself your own dislike of the outsider’s strange viewpoint.
To be told to “go away,” somehow or other, you must really have been informed of your rightful place in the world already.
You must learn early on in life to “do as you’re told”, as doing so is an in-built response mechanism that quite possibly saves the human race from itself.
What you don’t particularly feel in yourself much, you can only gawk at in amazement when seen expressed in others.
Just think what it would be like waking up twenty years later, thinking about what you should have done twenty years before…or maybe you already have?
It’s a strange “rule of thumb” of personal behaviour to follow but the truth is that, “If it hurts you should stop doing it.” Although, sometimes, some seem to learn this simple fact way too late, long after it has all been: “been and done.”
To be aware of what you are doing in the next moment (and so also be able to control it through the use of reason) should be the only thing worth doing.
Sometimes, you can confuse the casually malicious comment with boredom and with misunderstanding; but maybe in truth (for some strange reason), there was just not much else worth saying…
When you’re looking everywhere for the truth, anything that even remotely substantiates it will be considered acceptable supporting evidence.
The pursuit of excellence is excellent in itself if it also takes you to some place where you want to go which is worthwhile. But where else would you want to be exactly, for the amount of effort involved?
The “lazy person” is an anomaly within society: he has ceased to present a valid purpose for his continued existence there.
A new choice should not be something that gives you less freedom to act, but that is frequently not an option.
Being “given another chance” suggests you must have been foolish enough to muck up the first one…
In your desiring to wish to “be ashamed for some other person’s actions”, shouldn’t he really rather be ashamed for himself? And thus, if you are doing so, aren’t you just imposing upon his volition for your own reasons? Is that reasonable?
For people not to understand why you act in a certain way around them is also a reason to be cautious.

While you may go round looking for the truth of yourself in conversations with other similar ethical beings as yourself, most ethical beings you encounter in your search for your rather subjective search for personal truth won’t tell you what you need to know about yourself, because they haven’t got a clue about you anyway.
It is true that in seeking through analogy the reality of your predicament your mind will be relieved of mental cramp. Or is that crap?
To break a man’s spirit you must hit him, and again, and again, and when he gets up, you must hit him again, and again, until he doesn’t get up anymore, and just lies there bleating and shitting himself…I guess he just couldn’t have got the joke.
What is the deep, inner meaning of existence? There isn’t one that important. Which could very well be the deep, inner meaning of existence.
When you do something completely and utterly stupid you can ask yourself how you did that, and so the answer immediately appears: because that’s the way to do it – stupid!
Put in enough scholarly references into what you do for the public part of your show and people will think you’re a scholar, that or a complete idiot.
If you really want information no one will tell you where to get it, so don’t forget to thank him kindly for doing so.
Being a rebel without a cause suggests that, for your sins, your name should already be stored on some obscure Government database, filed under “Obsequious Obscenities”.
Constrain someone for long enough and he’ll go barking mad, so why do it in the first place?
Let fear dictate your actions, you become part of the thing you fear.
Solely if you’re strong enough to be “stronger than that” before weakness happens, weakness eventually all fades away.
Male bonding things are a boy-thing; sometimes, it can be a very frightening thing to see.
The established social clique excludes the outsider from “participating” in it, which must be the main function of the clique within society.
When men go ape around you, it is advisable to scratch your armpits and grunt.
As for old men’s inmost desires, well, they can’t get young women anymore either.
The friends of those who have despised you, even if they are being friendly for the occasion, are still the friends of your enemies, even if they still only just stand and watch.
What you consider to be important enough you must fight for; what you don’t, you don’t. But the question still remains as to what these things are all about, after all.
Those memories that twist the guts up are those memories best avoided by not having them.
Change your attitude and you may change your life, even if you do live in a box.
What can we say when we don’t know what to say about something, other than to hide our opinions in a questionable silence?

For the average man, there is no room in the world for him to be anything else but average; and as for the exceptional man, for him to want to be like that, well there must be something wrong with him anyway.
You either conform or die, but if you know this and also conform as well then, with a little perseverance, you may still occasionally be able to fuck their brains out.
People crave acceptance, as it is a prerequisite for mental health for the social animal. While those who are most successful at gaining it also ostracise others most effectively who aren’t.
For the average man it is wise for him to remember among his fellow man that, even in the company of the greatest philosophers, if they’re hungry enough they’ll eat him alive.
Attempting to avoid virtue on all suitable occasions is the sure sign of the respect naturally expressed by the potential hypocrite to vice.
The sort of clown that has lost control of his motives through misunderstanding of his inmost desires, thus gives up his last desperate hold on his self-esteem.
To accept one’s potential for stupidity must be some sort of advance over keeping on regretting one’s potential for stupidity and doing stupid things anyway.
To swiftly create a pause makes quick delays; which is what you might need sometimes, if only to find the time to get creative with it.
Ambition must have something about the best use of its possessor’s time entailed within it; but, of course, that is not all ambition is about.
The concept of ambition itself is also something that can be used to attack the man unprepared for it, especially if he hasn’t got any.
In an antagonistic situation, never miss the best chance you have of collecting information on antagonistic situations.
Those who go prepared every day for a ruckus may just be paranoid, but may just be right.
Being a narcissist isn’t all bad: at least someone of clear intelligence appreciates your point of view.
If you tend to make too many mistakes you obviously still need more practice at it.
How can anyone be called guilty if trapped by circumstance? Usually quite easily.
Dark thoughts shouldn’t be too dark, or too light either, but should always have a shady bit in the middle.
What is necessary? Vital information. What isn’t necessary? What you do with it.
Indifference to the truth: a reminder of how truth can be distorted.
A little advice: Don’t let emotions run your life; sometimes it isn’t worth it.
Nature has no natural ethics, which is a caveat included in the nature of humanity’s natural sense of morality.
A clever person doesn’t often bother to tell people why he is so clever; and never to clever people, as they have to realize that for themselves.
One thing should be realized in life is that death is with you on the bog, although it has certainly always been a tight squeeze.
The dangers of being alive in a dangerous place to live are ever present, which is why individuals should pay attention to the ever-present dangers inherent in staying alive wherever they are.
Some people who die have just had enough; others haven’t had enough yet, but can still die despite that problem.
Higher intelligence: something primates do occasionally when they think too much.
Something we don’t quite understand may become something we don’t quite know what to do with, but do something with it anyway just to show that it must have meant something important to us at least...

Deep, deep down, whenever you might meet them casually out in public, what people really want from you is for you to make an effort to make a show of acceptance (or show of equality) towards them; that is, to show some tangible recognition of appreciation towards them that is to be returned as a sign of regard as swiftly as they have done so with you. If they don’t get that “social key” from you “instinctively”, then they don’t like it.
A close-knit community tends to control its various members through conformity. So conform, and do what you want as well.
Sometimes you can throw a lame dog a crutch and, knowing no better, he’ll drag it right back to you; and, at least, it shows you that he knows his place in the world.
Is the man who comments upon the secret failings of others around him ethically vacant, or merely an expert at being sociable?
Now what most men will do about groups is to ingratiate themselves with like-minded individuals within a group, and then use that group to impose their will on others who do not agree with them. Which, for most men, is the smarter thing to do about groups for the smarter monkeys who tend to live in groups.
What “dirty persons” that seem (on some level and at some stage) fleetingly attractive need socially is to be kept at a good distance, as that which is dirty about them is swiftly transferable upon even the slightest contact.
You can often find that some easily irritated people will want to teach you a lesson when you’re young, rich, good looking and can get the girls. Seems a bit rich doesn’t it?
If you do occasionally manage to stand still in life and observe what is happening, are you waiting to impose your own interpretation upon events while waiting for something notable to happen? And if so, how long do you expect to wait?
Things without remedy should be without regard. As what is done is done, and cannot be undone by the sort of constrained creature a human being naturally is, and that to console himself must then cry over the spilt milk.
Some people don’t “think comedy” they just react badly. That’s because they don’t appreciate that the “joke of life” is really at their expense.
Even in chaotic systems there is a pattern of limited possibilities; but then that may not mean much to you.

Anyone who answers one question will answer another one, until eventually he’ll admit to it, whatever it is. Thus, to maintain equipoise amongst your questioners, it’s better to answer a question with another question.
If for whatever reason someone really dislikes you then he’ll happily do anything in his power to denigrate you, no matter how unbelievable that sounds to you while he’s about it.
A young man should realize early on in life that, with determination, courage and the support and encouragement of his friends, he could even jump through a wall of flame without getting a scratch on him.
You may be able to choose what it is you want to be mesmerized by over in your lifetime, but first you must realize the difference.
For reasons better known to themselves most people will try to trip you up, even over the slightest matter, and so they’d also better watch out.
Some highly intelligent people like to look for cracks in the wall with a magnifying glass. If you should ever find yourself doing this, you’ll also be able to see quite clearly there that it’s a perfectly logical thing to do.
If you find yourself imposing on someone then he’s not going to like it. I suggest you make it perfectly clear that you didn’t really intend to impose on him and so you won’t let him impose on you.
Someone who deserts his friends in a tight spot isn’t a real friend; but then again, maybe he just has to go to work in the morning.
Most people live compulsive, narrow-minded existences and may also get on quite well by it after a while, that is once they get used to the mind-numbing monotony of it.
When you lose youth you lose something irreplaceable there. People don’t go looking for their lost youth, because they know it isn’t there anymore, as there’s a gaping hole there instead.
Many people are callus, self-centred and cruel, but amusingly enough, despite that, they will also find that they only have one lifetime to fit it all in.
Life is “the sharp point”, which is better dealt with by having a sharpish attitude to it. If you don’t know exactly what that means, that’s unfortunate.
The “death in us” is not to be contemplated easily, neither is it understandable, but it can be ignored while we’re living with it, which is what most people end up doing.
Everybody’s grip on life is tenuous, so it is wise from the start to act with due care and attention.

In misunderstanding the point of another man’s sarcasm you may always whack him for it, but that doesn’t necessarily avoid the consequences of doing so.
Occasionally, a true observation of what a man really is can also be put in the form of a casual remark, one quite enough to put him six feet under for you.
Only the measured response is necessary when you are attacked, if only to preserve your peace of mind.
Assuming you care, the rasher choices you care to make can also have an unforeseen detrimental effect upon others you may care for.
To fight, a man must need to know what he’s fighting for, or at least know a man relatively close by at the time who does.
Time is on a man’s side only when it doesn’t come up and bite him in the arse for being daft over it.
To “seize the moment” first of all you must learn how to recognize it amidst all the other similar moments vying for your attention.
If ever you are not confused enough now, wait a bit longer and you could be confused even more than before.
Theoretically speaking, if you fight hard you have a cast iron guarantee there that you’ll survive, at least until the warranty runs out.
Anyone can make a simple mistake, and provided he doesn’t kill anyone but himself through doing so he is entitled to make another one.
Stop trying for you stated objective and you’ll have already reached your destination, whatever that is.
If about you everything is in chaos do not concern yourself unduly, somebody has got to know what is happening and it will probably be the enemy.
